Vladimir Tsypin
Violinist and Educator
A veteran violinist, former FIRST DESK PLAYER of the world famous NEW YORK PHILHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, and a critically acclaimed soloist and chamber musician, Vladimir Tsypin has enjoyed great success over the years. He has performed for audiences on four continents, in venues from New York's Carnegie Hall, to Congress Hall in the former Soviet Union. In 2018, after stepping down from the esteemed New York Philharmonic, Mr. Tsypin has turned his focus to performing solo and chamber music, as well as coaching young violinists who are interested in pursuing professional careers.
"Vladimir Tsypin, at Carnegie Recital Hall, opts ... for a lively variety of shadings and vibratos, some distinctly Slavic. He impulsively cultivates a broad dynamic range, his phrasings incorporate ornaments and portatos, ...very charming"
— Joseph Horowitz, "The New York Times"

"Warm and romantic sound from violinist Vladimir Tsypin, the overall impression is that "A. Louis Scarmolin: Salon and Chamber Music" successfully represents this fascinating composer, and serves as a more than adequate introduction to his work."
— David Lewis, "All Music Guide"
